Real time passenger information at bus stations
A comprehensive upgrade and expansion of the RTPI system (real time passenger information) in the Municipality of Maribor.
in its documents (Integrated Transport Strategy, Municipal Environmental Action Programme 2008-2013, Development Strategy Maribor 2030, Local energy concept of the Municipality of Maribor) the Municipality of Maribor laid down a number of objectives for sustainable mobility in the city. One of the aims is the greater use of public passenger transport (PPT) that supports a user-friendly experience. Among the measures to improve the quality of public passenger transport services is also upgrading and extending access to information related to PPT services in real time.
Until 2015, the Municipality built RTPI displays on 14 bus stations for urban bus lines. Thus, passengers may see RT information about bus arrivals. The Municipality will continue to expand the RTPI displays grid.
